This was an excellent conclusion to the story of Kat Thayne and Sloane Michaels, two very memorable and compelling characters. This reader regrets waiting so long to read this last book. The suspense was palpable as is their chemistry. There was so much drama, love and sadness, the pages just flew by. I hated seeing this story end, knowing there will be no more of these characters to read about. This was a great series that just could have been better edited. I look forward to seeing what this author comes out with next.

When I read the first book in this trilogy I didn't know what to expect. I had no idea that I would absolutely fall in love with Sloane and Kat. Sloane living with such guilt and a need for vengeance with a childhood that left him never knowing how to love and be loved....Kat with her own demons from a dark time in her life that took more that her ability to walk normally away from her. Each finding that if you don't give up on what you want and believe that things do get better for both. Their story is such a beautiful moving love story that takes the reader on such a journey of discovery...suspense..and love. Throughout the second and now this amazing conclusion to the trilogy the author delivered with everything and more. I was so moved by the things they had to endure and go through to find their beautiful ever after. Hands down one of the best love stories I have ever read ! Jennifer Lyon rocked this story and as happy as I was to finally read this book...I was just as sad to see it end. Highly recommend to everyone.
Love this series so I'm sad to see it end but I'm glad there's no more cliffhangers. Sloane, sometimes you're sexiness will NOT get you out of trouble sweetheart best learn that now but it's still fun to see all your sexiness, "I always know when you're near me." And then you go and say dumb s***, like seriously Sloane do you not have a damn brain, "I never meant to hurt you. I couldn't let you go." He drew a ragged breath. "I know I have to now. I've been working out for hours trying to stay away from you." Oh yeppers that makes it all better yep it sure does NOT! Then he goes back to being all sexy the man is giving me whiplash, "you wanna be marked by me? Wanna know how badly I burn for you ever goddamned second?" S*** he really does things to a woman, "I wanted your mark, told you to bite hard. When your teeth clamped down, I effed you across the bed. Came so hard I though I was going to die of hardcore pleasure." He twined his fingers with hers. "You marked me, baby. I'm yours." I was really sad to see Kat and Sloane series end but I was pleased with how it ended.
And here is the final installment of this fabulous trilogy. I only have one complaint, but I will get to that in a minute. First, I have to say, "BRAVO" to Ms. Lyon for ending this story with an AWESOME HEA. Seriously, I didn't think I could love Sloane or Kat any more, and yet I did. By the end of the book I knew I would be re-reading the story a few more times (which I have - about 5 times now). All the loose ends were tied up nicely. YOU MUST HAVE A BOX OF TISSUES HANDY! Trust me, when I say this.
My one and only complaint ***SPOILER ALERT*** is I wish Kat had meddled a little bit and found the love of Drake's life and had her come to say goodbye and tell Drake she forgave him. He had SO much regret because of her, that his not being able to personally apologize to her and being forgiven by her was a little sad to me.
BUT it doesn't detract from the story overall. I still love the series and recommend it highly.
In the end, I hope you agree that it is a wonderful love story of two broken people finding each other and helping each other heal.
The Premise
Obsession is the final book of a three book series (must be read in order, not designed to standalone). At the end of the second book, Sloane and Kat were at a crossroads, and Sloane had to decide whether to continue on his path for vengeance and possibly lose the woman he loves or allow the man who killed his sister to go free. Kat also begins to remember more of her horrific attack, which puts her life in danger.
The Good
I genuinely liked both the hero and the heroine and understood them throughout each book, a true rarity these days. They had concerns and doubts about going into a real relationship, but it wasn’t contrived and it made sense throughout the series. There was no drastic personality change to justify any plot point. It was refreshing to enjoy a series as much as I enjoyed this one. I liked the supporting characters, especially Drake - his relationship with Sloane is touching and his illness gave a bittersweet tinge to this final book, but in a good way.
The Minor Quibble
Truly the only complaint I have is that I think this would have been an excellent single volume book with some minor tweaks.

A great series that I am very happy I read - it left me with a big smile on my face.
